For example, if you&#8217;re sending emails on behalf of different clients, or different projects, you may wish to <strong>create a Gmail Label for each individual client<\/strong> or project.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s say I&#8217;m launching several email marketing campaigns for 3 different\u00a0clients from my one G Suite account. I can create the following <strong>Labels<\/strong>: Client A, Client B, and Client C.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1345\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1345\" style=\"width: 1558px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Gmail-Create-Label.gif\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-0\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1345 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Gmail-Create-Label.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1558\" height=\"754\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1345\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">I create a Label called &#8220;Client A&#8221; in my Gmail account.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>While I&#8217;m composing my email, I can apply one of my custom <strong>Labels<\/strong> to the message.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Important:<\/span><em>\u00a0In order for the <strong>Label<\/strong> setting to be saved you must make one more change to your campaign, either in the <strong>Subject<\/strong> or <strong>Message<\/strong>, after applying the <strong>Label<\/strong>. If need be, you can just type some text and delete it after applying the <strong>Label<\/strong>. This is a quirk of how Gmail and GMass work together.<\/em><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1346\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1346\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Gmail-Apply-Label-Message.gif\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-1\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1346 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Gmail-Apply-Label-Message.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1206\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1346\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">I apply the &#8220;Client A&#8221; Label to my email while I&#8217;m composing it. I must make one more change to the campaign after applying the Label in order for the Label to apply to the message.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>That <strong>Label<\/strong> will then also apply to all of the individual sent emails. Or, if I&#8217;m using the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/no-more-fear-preview-your-emails-as-drafts-then-send-them-with-one-click\/\">Just create Drafts<\/a> option and not actually sending emails right away, all of the generated <strong>Drafts<\/strong> will have the custom <strong>Label<\/strong> applied.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1347\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1347\" style=\"width: 2546px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Gmail-Sent-Applied-Label.gif\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-2\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1347 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Gmail-Sent-Applied-Label.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"2546\" height=\"1146\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1347\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">After my emails are sent, I can see that the Label &#8220;Client A&#8221; has been applied to each sent email.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Doing so allows me to <strong>search by a custom Label<\/strong> if I want to quickly see the emails related to a particular client or project.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1348\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1348\" style=\"width: 2468px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Gmail-Label-Filter.gif\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-3\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1348 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Gmail-Label-Filter.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"2468\" height=\"1148\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1348\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">I can quickly see all the emails for &#8220;Client A&#8221; by clicking the &#8220;Client A&#8221; Label on the left.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>You can take this one step further and now <strong>build a new email list for a new campaign based on the messages in the Client A Label<\/strong>. Perhaps I want to further refine the Search criteria to include a Subject filter.
