{"id":1351,"date":"2017-05-22T15:11:21","date_gmt":"2017-05-22T15:11:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/?p=1351"},"modified":"2017-05-22T15:11:21","modified_gmt":"2018-07-11T04:19:19","slug":"gmail-labels-that-gmass-uses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/gmail-labels-that-gmass-uses\/","title":{"rendered":"Understanding the Gmail Labels that GMass uses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When you create a mail merge campaign in GMass, the campaign is temporarily saved as a <strong>Gmail\u00a0Draft<\/strong>, and based on the state of the campaign, it will\u00a0have one or more <strong>Gmail\u00a0Labels<\/strong>\u00a0applied\u00a0to it.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If the campaign is set to send in the future, but does not have any auto follow-ups, it will have <strong>just the GMass Scheduled Label<\/strong> applied to it. <em>This is the most common scenario.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>If the campaign is set to send in the future and also has auto follow-ups, it will have\u00a0<strong>BOTH the GMass Scheduled and the GMass Auto Followups Labels<\/strong> applied to it.<\/li>\n<li>If the campaign <strong>has finished sending but has pending auto follow-ups<\/strong>, it will have <strong>just\u00a0the GMass Auto Followups Label<\/strong> applied to it.<\/li>\n<li>If the campaign <strong>has finished sending and also\u00a0does NOT have any auto follow-ups<\/strong>,\u00a0the Draft will be deleted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What do the Gmail Labels mean?<\/h3>\n<p>If a Draft has the <strong>GMass Scheduled<\/strong> Label, that means it\u2019s a <strong>pending mail merge campaign<\/strong> and emails will still be sent. If the <strong>GMass Scheduled<\/strong> Label is removed, the campaign will fail to send.<\/p>\n<p>If a Draft has the <strong>GMass Auto Followups<\/strong> Label, that means <strong>the campaign has auto followups<\/strong> attached to it. This <strong>Label<\/strong> is simply for <strong>organizational purposes<\/strong>, so you the user, can easily see which campaigns still have pending auto followups. Whether this <strong>Label<\/strong> is applied to the <strong>Draft<\/strong> or not has no bearing on whether the auto follow-ups send or not.<\/p>\n<h3>Use your own Labels<\/h3>\n<p>In addition to the <strong>Labels<\/strong> that GMass uses to manage your campaigns, you can also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/custom-gmail-labels-organize-campaigns\/\">apply your own custom Gmail
