With GMass, you can break Gmail\u2019s daily sending limits<\/strong>\u00a0to send unlimited emails in Gmail<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 and the most popular way is by using a SMTP server to send the overage.<\/p>\n

(The other way is with GMass MultiSend<\/a>, which distributes campaigns across multiple inboxes.)<\/p>\n

And as of November 2024, you can now add multiple SMTP servers<\/strong> to your GMass account and choose which one to use as you send campaigns.<\/p>\n

This is great if you want to change which SMTP server you use for different campaigns based on each server\u2019s deliverability and reputation, desired volume, or use case<\/strong>. (For instance, you might have one SMTP server to use on cold campaigns and another for opt-in newsletters.)<\/p>\n

Adding multiple SMTP servers to your account also saves you the time<\/strong>\u00a0of having to delete, add, and re-add your SMTP servers.<\/p>\n

Bottom line: This gives you more versatility and flexibility in your sending<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

How to Add Multiple SMTP Servers to Your Account (3 Quick Steps)<\/h2>\n

All of the SMTP server management you\u2019ll do happens in the GMass dashboard.<\/p>\n

To get started, go to the GMass dashboard<\/a>, open the settings (the gear icon), then click into the SMTP Servers<\/strong>\u00a0section.<\/p>\n

In the SMTP Servers section,\u00a0click on Manage SMTP servers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Here you\u2019ll see all the SMTP servers you\u2019ve connected to your account (if any).<\/p>\n

As you can see here, I have one SMTP server connected. (It\u2019s one of GMass\u2019s in-house SMTP servers. Want to use that yourself? If you\u2019re sending opt-in emails, see if you\u2019re eligible<\/a>. We also have a cold email sending server<\/a> if you’re sending high-volume cold email campaigns.)<\/p>\n

Add a new SMTP server<\/h3>\n

Click on the red Add a new SMTP server<\/strong>\u00a0button to add another (or the first) SMTP server to your account.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll need to fill in the credentials you received from the service.<\/p>\n

In my example below, I\u2019m adding my username and password from my SMTP2GO account.<\/p>\n

Click the Validate settings<\/strong>\u00a0button once everything is entered.<\/p>\n

GMass will check your credentials and, assuming everything checks out, you can click the (now visible) Add this server<\/strong>\u00a0button.<\/p>\n

Setting your default server<\/h3>\n

Now that you have multiple servers, you have to pick which one you want GMass to use as the default<\/strong>. (Or GMass will just use the first one as the default.)<\/p>\n

This is the server that\u2019s used to send your campaign once you hit Gmail\u2019s daily sending limit.<\/p>\n

To set your default SMTP server, click the star in the Default<\/strong>\u00a0column.<\/p>\n

Choosing your sending server for a campaign<\/h3>\n

You can choose which server you want to use to send each campaign in that campaign’s settings box.<\/p>\n

When you’re in the Gmail draft for your campaign, open the GMass settings box.<\/p>\n

Then, in the\u00a0Action<\/strong> section, if you’ve selected\u00a0Send emails<\/strong> (as opposed to Create Drafts), you’ll see a dropdown menu giving you the choice of which server to use to send the campaign.<\/p>\n

As you can see, your options are to send the campaign through Gmail or any of the sending servers connected to your account.<\/p>\n

Deleting a server<\/h3>\n

You can also remove SMTP servers from your account in this part of the dashboard.<\/p>\n

Just click the Delete<\/strong>\u00a0link next to the server to remove it.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll get a confirmation message<\/strong>\u00a0to make sure you actually want to delete the server from your account before it\u2019s removed.<\/p>\n
