If you’re a fan of forwarding emails to friends, family, and colleagues, I’ll teach you how to forward emails to a list of addresses<\/strong> in a personalized, trackable way. It’s like a forwarded email meets a mass email<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"Email<\/a><\/p>\n

Why not forward the normal way in Gmail?<\/h3>\n

In Gmail, forwarding an email is as easy as hitting the Forward<\/strong> button, typing in the recipients into the To<\/strong> field and hitting the Gmail Send<\/strong> button. With Gmail’s new Scheduling<\/strong> feature, you can even schedule when you want the mass forward sent. What you can’t do natively with Gmail<\/strong>, however, is:<\/p>\n

  1. Personalize<\/strong> the group forward. Meaning, make each email start with “Hey {FirstName}, check this out…”<\/li>\n
  2. Track<\/strong> who you forwarded the email to opened<\/strong> or clicked<\/strong> on links in the\u00a0forwarded email.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    That’s where GMass comes in. When you click the GMass button<\/span><\/strong> instead<\/em> of the Gmail Send<\/span><\/strong> button, each person in the To<\/strong> field gets an individual<\/strong>, personalized<\/strong> email, rather than one email going out to everyone. This also means that unlike a traditional email forward, the individual recipients of the forward won’t know who else you forwarded the email to.<\/p>\n

    GMass acts as a replacement to the traditional Send button in this case.<\/em><\/p>\n

    Add some personalization<\/strong> to the top of the email, make sure Open Tracking<\/strong> and Click Tracking<\/strong> are set, and hit the GMass button<\/span><\/strong> instead<\/em> of the blue Send button.<\/p>\n

    If you’re working late night and want the email sent first thing in the morning, you can also schedule<\/strong> that in the GMass Settings<\/strong> box.<\/p>\n

    There are other solutions for mass forwarding emails in Gmail, but only GMass<\/strong> allows you to personalize<\/strong> each forward and track opens\/clicks<\/strong> while at the same time<\/em> scheduling the forward<\/strong>. In fact, many users use the GMass button exclusively instead of the Send button<\/strong> on all email, including forwards, replies, and new messages.<\/p>\n

    How to send a personalized forward to a group of people from a Google Sheet<\/h3>\n

    [Jan 2021 Update]<\/strong> If you have a list of contacts in a Google Sheet<\/strong>, you can easily send a bulk forward<\/strong> to the email addresses in the spreadsheet<\/strong>. You can also personalize the group forward<\/strong> based on the column headings<\/strong> in the Sheet. In this YouTube video, I demonstrate the process.<\/p>\n
