You can generate the template with just that prompt, or alter it as desired.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"provide-your-own-ins-hwop\">Provide your own instructions<\/h4>\n<p>If you don\u2019t want to use the select a template option, you can jump right to <strong>Provide your own template instructions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Here, you can <strong>describe exactly what you want your template to look like<\/strong>\u00a0and the AI generator will create it. Include colors, layout styles, and anything else you want to include in your template.<\/p>\n<p>Check out my prompt below. It will take a moment to create your template (in my tests, it was maybe 30 seconds for a simpler template and could be about a minute for a more complicated one).<\/p>\n<p>GMass will <strong id=\"editing-your-generat-pahd\">show you a preview of what\u2019s been generated<\/strong>. You can then choose to accept it or try again.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"making-manual-edits-ashk\">Editing your Generated Template<\/h2>\n<p>As I just demonstrated above, you can use the same AI tool to edit your HTML template. Just choose \u201cModify current content.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That should cover you in most cases, but there are a few other options as needed.<\/p>\n<h3>Making manual edits to your template<\/h3>\n<p>If you\u2019d like to get in there and make a few manual edits, you can do that as well. While Gmail doesn&#8217;t allow for HTML editing, GMass does.<\/p>\n<p>In the GMass settings box, click the <strong>HTML<\/strong>\u00a0link.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-htmllink.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-5\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-htmllink.png\" alt=\"Edit the raw HTML\" width=\"1990\" height=\"1284\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>You can then edit the raw HTML as needed.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-edithtml.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-6\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-edithtml.png\" alt=\"You can edit the HTML here\" width=\"1990\" height=\"1284\" id=\"what-about-the-image-mcxp\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>It\u2019s important to know about this as we talk about the next big question with these generated templates\u2026<\/p>\n<h3>What about the images?<\/h3>\n<p>So as you might have noticed in my screenshots, the images are \u201cbroken\u201d in the template.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s because I had the AI generator create my template without providing any content, so it just put in text and image placeholders.<\/p>\n<p>The text is easy to edit. As for the images, you have a few options for getting them into place.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"option-1-delete-the-akql\">Option 1: Delete the broken image and embed your own image in its place<\/h4>\n<p>In the first row of my table, I\u2019ll delete the broken image by clicking on it, then selecting <strong>Remove<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-removeimage.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-7\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-removeimage.png\" alt=\"Remove the image\" width=\"1990\" height=\"1284\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Now, with the cursor in the correct spot where the image used to be, I\u2019ll upload my own image by clicking the image icon in Gmail.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-insertimage.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-8\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-insertimage.png\" alt=\"Use Gmail's image uploader\" width=\"1990\" height=\"1210\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>The image is too big, so I\u2019ll click on it and drag to resize.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-resizeimage.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-9\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-resizeimage.png\" alt=\"Drag to resize the image\" width=\"1990\" height=\"1210\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>And now my image is in the correct spot.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-embeddedimagecorrect.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-10\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-embeddedimagecorrect.png\" alt=\"The embedded image is now correct\" width=\"1990\" height=\"1210\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>I recommend this method for two reasons.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li>It\u2019s <strong>easier than editing the raw HTML<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Google likes it when you <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/hosted-vs-embedded-images-gmail\/\"><strong>embed<\/strong>\u00a0images<\/a> like this (rather than linking to images on an external server). So it\u2019s a smart move to help keep you out of the spam folder.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4 id=\"option-2-linking-to-mskx\">Option 2: Linking to images on your server<\/h4>\n<p>Next, I\u2019ll demonstrate how to link to an image on a server.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll go into the raw HTML for my email template and find the row 2 image.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-findimage.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-11\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-findimage.png\" alt=\"Find the image URL placeholder in the HTML\" width=\"1990\" height=\"1210\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Now I\u2019ll paste in the URL of the image where it\u2019s stored on my server.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-replaceimage.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-12\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-replaceimage.png\" alt=\"Replace the image with your URL\" width=\"1990\" height=\"1210\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>The image is now in the correct spot, <strong>linked on the external server<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-row2imageinplace.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-13\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-row2imageinplace.png\" alt=\"The linked image is now in place\" width=\"1990\" height=\"1210\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Again, I recommend the embedding method over the external linking method for the reasons I described earlier.<\/p>\n<p>However, <strong>if you\u2019re comfortable editing the HTML and want to use external links<\/strong>, this is the best way.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"option-3-let-the-ai-jchd\">Option 3: Let the AI do the work<\/h4>\n<p>This AI template generator is smarter than you might realize.<\/p>\n<p>So here\u2019s how you can get <em>it<\/em>\u00a0to do the dirty work for you on images.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how.<\/p>\n<p>I uploaded my image near the bottom of the email.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-newimageatbottom.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-14\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-newimageatbottom.png\" alt=\"I put my image at the bottom of the email\" width=\"1990\" height=\"1210\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>Then I pulled up the AI generator tool, told it what to do, and made sure to choose <strong>Modify current content<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-imagereplaceprompt.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-15\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-imagereplaceprompt.png\" alt=\"Prompting the AI to use that image\" width=\"1990\" height=\"1210\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>And, voila.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-3rdrowinplace.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-16\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/aitemplates-3rdrowinplace.png\" alt=\"That image is now in place\" width=\"1990\" height=\"1210\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<p>The only downside here is that <strong id=\"reusing-your-html-te-tdmx\">it takes the AI some time to work through this<\/strong>. So the delete-embed-resize method from option 1 was a bit faster. This, however, was even easier.<\/p>\n<h2>Reusing Your HTML Templates in the Future<\/h2>\n<p>So you did it.
