{"id":357,"date":"2016-03-31T17:02:00","date_gmt":"2016-03-31T17:02:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/?p=357"},"modified":"2025-08-29T23:52:27","modified_gmt":"2025-08-29T23:52:27","slug":"how-to-disconnect-gmass-from-your-gmail-account","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gmass.co\/blog\/how-to-disconnect-gmass-from-your-gmail-account\/","title":{"rendered":"How to disconnect GMass from your Gmail account"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p>While I hate to encourage people to remove GMass from their Gmail accounts, there are rare but legitimate reasons you may want to.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s one, for example&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Phishing Attack Victim?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Over the last week, several Gmail users have been victims of a sophisticated phishing attack where the scammer obtains the username and password for a Gmail account, logs in, installs GMass, then sends a mass email containing a form that looks like a Dropbox form to all the user&#8217;s contacts, and encourages the victim to log into Dropbox with his\/her Gmail account credentials. Then, after obtaining more Gmail account credentials, the scammer logs into those accounts, installs GMass, and repeats the cycle.<\/p>\n<p>If you are seeing mass emails sent from your Gmail account that you did not initiate, you may have unwittingly given your Gmail credentials to the scammer. To rectify this:<\/p>\n<p>1. Change your username and password immediately.<\/p>\n<p>2.
