Are you offering to educate people in your cold email outreach? Don’t, advises Jeff Molander. Instead, help the customer feel an urge to be helped. You’ll get a lot further.

This company analyzed over 1,000,000 cold email messages to uncover the 19 worst mistakes people make in cold email. It turns out deceptive subject lines is a one-way ticket to no response.

🚨 Cold Email of the Week 📧

You see it all too often. A cold FIRST email that includes RE: or FWD: in the subject line. It’s a tactic to make you think this is part of a conversation you were already having or from someone you’ve been in touch with before.

It might help get the email opened… but it’s deceptive and won’t do much for gaining your prospects’ trust. We say skip it and focus on being trustworthy. (Example via Intersteller).
