How to cancel a scheduled mail merge campaign and stop it from sending

If you have a scheduled mail merge campaign, it will show under the GMass Scheduled Label.

You have a few options to cancel the campaign.

Cancel from the GMass settings box

Find the campaign under the GMass Scheduled Label or in your Gmail Drafts folder, open the Draft, click the GMass Settings arrow, and hit the Cancel button.

Head to your GMass dashboard. You’ll see your campaign under the Current Campaigns tab. Click the red X button to cancel.

Notes on canceling campaigns

These methods also work on a large campaign that has been set to send over multiple days. If after a couple of days, you decide you don’t want the rest of it to send, follow the same procedure to prevent further sending.

If the campaign is in the process of sending right now, then hitting the Cancel button will attempt to stop the current send and prevent future emails for the campaign from sending. If sending is in progress, up to 50 emails may send before sending is stopped.

If you have auto follow-up messages scheduled with this campaign, a pop-up window will give you the option to cancel just the campaign, cancel the campaign and all future auto follow-ups, or both. (Here’s more on canceling auto follow-ups.)

One final note: Another way to cancel a campaign is to delete the email from your Drafts, or remove the GMass Scheduled label. However, those methods are more prone to error; for instance, it wouldn’t necessarily stop auto follow-ups from a large campaign already in progress. The “cleanest” methods are the two listed in this article.

  1. Hi Gmass! Hi Ajay! I've started a mass e-mail campaign (8000 addresses) recently with Gmass. It worked well for 10 days, but somehow stopped at 3/3/2016. Status message says: "This campaign has sent 4071 emails so far. It has been processed 10 time(s). It will send next at 3/3/2016 7:32:41 PM GMT time."
    Please help me what to do. How can I continue my campaign, or how can I send a new campaign without the 4071 e-mails who received the previous letter.

    I have just subscribed yesterday for the minimal GMASS subscription. But, I put in the wrong email address which does not exist. it is a mistake.   5. My campaign have been having alot of bounce email and gsuite have suspended my account already how do I cancel the campaign? It has not sent all the emails but it is not a sheduled campaign. My gmass email is [email protected]

    I tried to cancelled the subscription as it is of no much use for me in China when access to Gmail itself has become difficult now.

    Now i received an email from Gmail and I would like to check if it is the cancellation of subscription confirmation from Gmail. The below message is what I received.

    Your GMass subscription for [email protected] has been cancelled.

    Your account is still active, however, until 3/25/2018 4:37:17 AM. After that time, your account will be demoted to free status and will only be able to send 50 emails per rolling 24 hours. If you change your mind, you can subscribe again at: https://www.gmass.co/[email protected]

  9. I need to have the rest of my Campaign stopped, I sent 360 out of 4000. Gmail has limit me to only sending out 400 and I have reached my limit for the day. It sent me an email saying it would try to send out the rest of the email at a later time.

    I need for the campaign to stop or else I wont be able to use my gmail account.

      You would need to recreate it but you can just reuse content from the previous campaign by going into your GMass settings and selecting the “old” campaign from the Load Previous Content dropdown.

    I cancelled the GMass in May 2019 but I was surprised today that you guys still charge on my company’s credit card.

    I got the confirmation email from you at that time and have the email.
    Please check it out and refund the amount charged since May 2019.

Could you reply back to my email with the last 4 digits of the card being charged so I can do a reverse lookup to find and cancel subscriptions connected to that card?

      You would need to cancel the campaign by following the steps found in the above article. If the campaign is in progress, you would just need to open the draft from the GMass Scheduled label, then open its GMass settings where you will see the cancel campaign button.

  19. I sent many requests to this email for domain tracking errors, they provide me instructions about a record that I’ve done but when I sent a request for domain tracking (With Gmass button) again I received an error.

    Please tell me how i can cancel auto follow-ups? This article is over 4 years old and I’m sure Gmass has moved on since then. I can not see the option to cancel auto followups and need the campaign cancelled before my account is LOCKED once again.
